Question 1

What is VSC's superpower compared to other agencies?

Accepted Answer

VSC combines deep sector expertise in AI, climate tech, and digital health with a storytelling-first approach. Founded in 2002, the agency has helped over 100 technology companies earn recognition including 24 TIME Best Inventions and 57 Fast Company Most Innovative Companies awards. Unlike generalist agencies, VSC embeds with founding teams to build narratives that drive earned media, investor attention, and market credibility.

Question 2

How does VSC structure its teams?

Accepted Answer

VSC assigns senior-led teams organized by vertical expertise. Each client works directly with a partner or VP who has deep experience in their sector — whether that's AI, climate tech, mobility, digital health, or enterprise infrastructure. This means your team already understands your market, your competitors, and the journalists who cover your space.

Question 3

What is the cadence and format of interactions with VSC?

Accepted Answer

VSC operates as an extension of your team with regular weekly check-ins, real-time Slack communication, and monthly strategy reviews. The cadence is tailored to your stage and needs — early-stage companies preparing for a launch may have daily touchpoints, while established clients typically work on a structured weekly rhythm.

Question 4

How does VSC measure success?

Accepted Answer

VSC measures success through a combination of earned media quality, message pull-through, and business impact. This includes tier-one media placements, share of voice against competitors, inbound interest generated from coverage, and long-term brand positioning in your category. Specific KPIs are set collaboratively at the start of each engagement.

Question 5

What are VSC's fees?

Accepted Answer

VSC works on monthly retainer engagements priced according to scope, services required, and company stage. Retainers typically cover a combination of public relations, content strategy, and media relations. Contact info@vsc.co for a customized proposal based on your company's needs and goals.

Question 6

How much time should clients budget to be successful with PR?

Accepted Answer

Effective PR is a partnership. Clients should expect to invest 3-5 hours per week for spokesperson availability, content review, and strategic input. The most successful engagements are those where founders and executives are actively involved in shaping the narrative and available for media opportunities. VSC handles the heavy lifting on strategy, media outreach, and content production.
